The conference continued with a keynote by Prof. David R. Beatty, who shared his “Board Compass” framework for boards of directors. Beatty underlined that effective boards are not those that merely respond to change, but those that define direction and translate that direction into action through strong leadership and robust decision-making mechanisms.

This was followed by a panel moderated by Dr. Erkin Erimez, featuring Engin Aksoy, Dr. Yılmaz Argüden, and Prof. David R. Beatty. The panel explored how decision-making dynamics are evolving in the age of artificial intelligence and how institutions can adapt to this transformation. A key message was that organizations must go beyond adopting new technologies and evolve into structures capable of asking the right questions, managing risks effectively, and turning opportunities into strategic advantage.
