We voluntarily contributed to the Participatory Budget work that Şişli Municipality and Şişli City Council developed and started to implement. Participatory budgeting is one of the most important methods in strengthening democracy and active citizenship. Participatory budgeting is based on the application of good governance principles in the financial sphere. Representing the Academy, Dr. Inan Izci contributes to the studies carried out at the level of presenting his opinion and application.

The participatory budget system, which has been implemented in more than 2,000 municipalities in the world and almost all of them have been successful, started to be implemented in Şişli Municipality for the first time in Türkiye under the name of "My Budget". Progressing with the dedication of Şişli Participatory Budget Working Group, under the leadership of Şişli Municipality and Şişli City Council.

In the "My Budget" project, it is aimed to ensure wide participation in the neighborhoods. Under the leadership of the Participatory Budget Working Group, 52 meetings, 12 presentations to stakeholders and 5 roundtable meetings for workshop preparation have been held so far on "My Budget".
